Ok so basically I m at uni and got a placement job. When I applied I wrote BBB on my CV for my A-level grades but I actually got BBC. I didn t mean to make the mistake but when I wrote my CV I genuinely believed it was BBB . I haven t seen my actual certificate for 3 years before writing my CV and genuinely believed it to be BBB. If I wanted to lie I could have written A*A*A*... anyway I got the job and they want me to bring in my certificate to finish off all the HR paperwork I guess.

To get the job I had to do tests, individual tasks, group tasks and interviews so my grade I received 3 years ago isn t exactly relevant as I don t remember half the sh*t from a levels anyaway.

So my question is, do I email them before I start to inform them of my genuine mistake, or do I bring my certificate with me when I start next week and hope they don t realise? it was a genuine mistake and very stupid of me as I should have checked my CV was correct, but it s the first real cv I ve had to do and I was more concerned about making sure everything else was correct and to a high standard.

Thanks in advance!
