a geologist noticed that land along a fault line moved 24.8 centimeters over the past 175 years. On average, how much did the land move each year?
I would say 0.14 centimeters.
How so? I thought that you're supposed to divide the 175 against the 24.8 centimeters? But, every time I did it , it turned out to be too much of a mixed number to be a answer.
