Relationships - My girlfriends ex texted her "have a good day beautiful" and she responded 'thanks,?

Now, my question is, would you be a bit annoyed that she even acknowledged his text AND responded? Instead of ignoring it.
In my head, with her acknowledging it as she did it just 'invites' him to open conversation or to continue texting her.
Am I right to be annoyed and say something, or should I just stay quiet and ignore it
