I was buying various household items and tools from an auction house regularly to try and make some extra cash while business went quiet over the winter period.
I was buying online and as the Auction House is well renowned, I trusted their descriptions and pictures and never had any trouble.
A few months ago now, I was browsing the lots and came across a well known, good named, set of cordless drills. These would have been brilliant for my business to use myself, so I knew I could bid a little more to win them, as they were not for selling on, but for me.
I bid and won the auction and was over the moon.
As I was busy in my unit, my partner went to the Auction house (30 ish miles away) to collect all the lots I had won.
When she got back, I was like an excited child and went straight for the drill box.
When I opened it, the batteries were missing.
I contacted the Auction House straight away and they said there is nothing they can do. I should have inspected the item before signing the picking list and then the issue could have been dealt with there and then.

So, what can I do?
