About 6 weeks ago I was tested for a UTI which had came up positive. I was on antibiotics and two weeks later the test showed it had vanished. Just this past two weeks I've had absolute excruitiating lower right abdominal pain, to the right of my bladder radiating up towards my kidney. (I've had a kidney infection before and it didn't feel exactly like this but very similar) I have just returned from the doctors today and it was positive for another UTI. Is it possible for a urine infection to cause pain only on ONE side of the abdomen? I'm very anxious because it's located in the same place as my appendix.
A couple more questions.
Can an infection down there cause thyroid problems/pain?
Why is it always reaccuring?
Should I go to the ER even though my doctor just thinks its a uti?
