So, me and my ex had a child not long ago and decided to get a DNA test. Be aware that it was just me and the child present at the time taking the test. The mother was not involved. I got my results and it was 95.57% so it turned out to be inconclusive so there was no decision if im the father or not. If i were to re-do the DNA test but instead with me, the child & the mother at once would the results become higher? I was told that if the child weren't mine it would lean more toward 0% but instead showing a higher percentage, am I more than likely the father of this child? And should should I get the test done with all three of us? Would love to speak with a DNA analyst mostly though if that is possible...? Hoping for some good feedback. Will give points!! Thank you -Colten
I am not a specialist, however I read a bit on the subject. Probably the best action would be for you to go back to the lab and ask them what can you do to strengthen the result. Anything between 0 and 99.99% is considered "inconclusive". They might recommend your mother to test so they have more DNA info. Child mother testing generally is not required.
