Google - is my ps3 fried?

Question

I plugged the part of my ps3 that goes into the power supply into the wall with an extension cord and then the power went out and now it smells like smoke and make a click sound and shuts off immediately can you tell me why did I fry it or something by the way it is a  80gb ps3

You could try changing the fuse in the extension cord, honestly though, I think it might be fried.

yea it sounds like something bad happened to it it might have blew up it might have been to much for the power supply to hold and when you plugged it in it  arked to much on the battery is what i'm getting it just caused a power surge and thats what happened
