I'm having some personal issues with an overpossessive guardian. i'm 3 months away from being 18 but i don't wan't to be with that guardian for those remaining months, can anyone help me?

All you have to do is hit the road. Cops might check for warrants, but they won't send you back unless someone pays for the transportation. Since you are so close to legal age, everybody figures you would just skip out again, so it's not worth the expense to extradite you. As long as you haven't been caught stealing anything, they will just let you go.
"Hit the road" can mean anything you choose, but you do want a definite cost to return you. Across town is not good enough.
You are not committing a crime, so you don't have to avoid police. How you travel and how you get out of the weather is up to you.
BTW millions of young people do this every year. They all survive the experience.
Thanks for the advice thus far, but in kentucky it's a state law for minors to runaway from home, how seriously this law is taken and enforced is unknown to me.
