When I was little, about 3 months old till I was about a year and a half, I was hospitalized. I had kasaback-merritt syndrome. They tried a lot of stuff on me to get it to go away, It was all proven to work on others, but none of it worked. Eventually they asked my parents if they could try a radiation treatment. They agreed. I'm not sure when this took place in my hospitalization or how long it when on. The hemangioma was located on the right side of my chest about five inches down from my collar bone and slightly off center from my sternum. If you could help thanks. I would ask my parents for more information about this time in my life, but I'm slightly scared to do so. Thanks again if you can help. :)

Yes it's possible, but they always weigh the risks and benefits to your current health situation, just like in all medical treatment, there is almost no treatment for anything that is free of risks.
The radiation in such treatment is very aimed at the problematic part of your body. But it's often high radiation doses, so yes it could absolutely increase the risk of cancer, specially to the radiated part of your body.
But it could also have killed cancer cells that already existed there, so there's also a small, very small (much much smaller than the risk of a new cancer), but still a chance that they could have killed a very early cancer that was too small to be detected but would now be a cancer.
