My female rat Mary Jane who I am guessing is only a couple months old cleans my older rat Marcheline (idk how old but she is double if not triple the size of Mary Jane) well Mary Jane tip toes into bed or spaces with Marcheline. I mean she puts 1 foot in and goes limp against Marcheline. And then Mary Jane finally getting into the bed will begin to clean Marchelines ears, back, rump, arm, I mean anything showing. And Marcheline just rolls onto her back and cries the whole time. Or cries and attacks Mary Jane forcing Mary Jane onto her back, biting her rump, and even splitting Mary Janes face open with a bite. All because Mary Jane is touching her. I haven't had this behavior before in my rats so I'm kind of stumped. Does anyone have any ideas why Marcheline is acting like this?
