... nauseaus, cough and light sore throat. He's been in bed for the past 2 days but he's not getting much better. Not sure what to do with that. My concern is the on off fever

Has it been very cold where you are recently? If so, he may of caught a bad cold.
Or he could of caught something else... Has he be been around sick people recently?
The only things I can suggest is keeping him sung, give him cups of tea/coffee/hot chocolate/etc, soup, and getting him to see a GP as soon as possible.
