I have this bright orange skirt I got from a friend. It was a gift and, in theory, I really like the skirt - it’s a good length, flattering, solid color/ no pattern, etc. But it is BRIGHT. ORANGE. A nice color on its own but hard to match to. If I wear a white top, I look like a traffic cone. A black top, and I look like a walking Halloween decoration. I also can’t figure out how to “dress it down”. Anything I wear makes it seem very fancy and like I’m trying too hard. Like, all my other friends will be in jeans and T-Shirts/tank tops and I’d be in this neon orange skirt and a blouse just to go to the mall. What can I possibly wear casually with this neon orange skirt?

Bright colours look best with a pattern top which includes the bold colour it is paired with. So wear a flowery top or a paisley pattern or something geometric, but it should include the same orange. It will look excellent. You will certainly look very bright and stand out, so might not work for every occasion. :0)
Yea I agree, something that is summer or spring type shirt, flowery or stripes.
