Why does my bath GFIC trip when it rains and I can reset when the weather is dry?

You have old wiring. Increased humidity makes a short circuit and the unit trips, which is exactly what it is supposed to do. You need an electrician to inspect it and decide what to do to make it safe again. He will charge you, but it's cheaper than a fire.
