The house cats pupil is long a  narrow  and the big cats is a small circular shape why?

house cats where domesticate from wild cats yes. but they live in totally different environments also a cats pupil can contract and detract like a wild cats. so a house cats eyes could be long and narrow but it also could be long and rounded it depends on the cats mood.

The pupils of smaller cats are slits. Animals that are likely to be prey also tend to have slit pupils, but they are oriented horizontally
