Hi we live in a neighbourhood where there is no sidewalk. There's only the road and front yards of people I have a puppy that is 3 months and he loves to walk in the grass he doesn't like to walk on cement. So we' re walking, in on the road and my puppy is walking on the grass like 10 cm from the curb in the grass of the front yard of this house owner. No else is complaining but this disgusting mean lady comes out and starts yelling at me telling me to get the hell out of there with my dog. It was totally disrespectful, very mean! It was super irritating, so I am here asking if there any laws that could protect me so the next time I see her I can actually talk back.

Try walking on the cement then if your puppy walks towards the grass pull lightly on the leash. Do this repetitively and if it doesn't work, try correcting the behavior by taking your pup and physically moving it onto the path.Or make a "tssssssssstt" sound or whatever sound you want your dog to understand is the sound that means "I do not like this behavior ".
