I'm seeking some advice on good holiday destinations for March this year. I live in Australia but am interested in ideas for both local and overseas travel.
Likes - culture, art, educational type holidays rather than just relaxing on a beach.
Dislikes - lack of cultural activities, extreme heat or humidity.
I can travel for up to about 4 weeks in March, maybe a little more and prefer inexpensive (AUD$5K budget, maybe a little more)
I would love some advice. Thanking you in advance.

Indonesia is pretty close to you and has a wide variety of art and culture things, from Hindu temples to International Art Exhibitions, plus its tradional arts, dances, and music. Also it has a wide variety of climate and natural things, from primeval forests to active volcanoes. If you avoid the tourist places, living is cheap. You couild likely get info from their embassy in AU.
