To be a little off, i say that when people say I love you, and then someone says love you, they basically mean the same thing just one is more casual than the other. it says more about the character of the person. I love you is more embarrassing than love you, they are just shy about saying the whole thing so when somebody say. " Kay love you, bye!" they just want to get the point across with out the awkward seriousness. but when some one says i love you to your face; its more of a confession, so its hard to say...
