Make friends with the person first. Most girls and guys wont date people they don't know.
If you do know the person, get to know the person even more, and when you're ready, you will know. At that stage, tell the person you want to be more than friends. You want a relationship...
You should really know that person to like him. If you do, you should hang out with him . I'm also in fifth grade and I've tried this on a boy a before. He asked me do I like him. It was at recess so the bell rang and we had to go inside. After that we never talked about so the topic ended there. What I'm trying to say is that I didn't know him so well so it didn't work. Try liking someone that you know and you will be confident because you know he is a good guy. Also if you have advice for me on how to make cupcake please let me know.
I'm in 5th grade to I actually have a crush to so what I'm trying to do is make friends with him but he already knows about me liking him try telling a friend u can really really trust I told my best friend I told two of them and one of them told him so like I say tell a friend u trust and make sure u trust him/her and also make sure him/her close to him but will keep a secret even if everyone find out sometime it will get a little bit fun well it is for me pluse he is one of the friend of the cool kids that why it's fun
