I am writing a short story for class, and I need a name for a school. I want it to be a really fancy and expensive sounding school, but I can't come up with one that I really like. I was also trying to get a name that had some symbolism for wisdom or strength.
How about Highgarth Academy? Or Richwalt (you can add some titles to the names). Or Rishford. Names that end on -ford always sound fancy to me. Highgarth is my personal favourite :).
Good luck with your short story!
Academy's used to be associated with expensive private tuition but not so these days.
I'd go with a name based on a short single surname - Blakes.
I will go by 'The foundation.'
High Lakes Academy
Palm Valley Academy
Hawking University (or Academy)
Summit School of High Arts
Laguna Park Academy
Schools tend to be named after a geographic location or a person. You'll find this applies regardless of the grade level of the school. Not knowing why you need the name I will suggest the following.
Go to Google Maps and type in 5 random numbers in the search bar. Zoom in and out to see town names until you find one that works.
Alternatively find a phone book or list of names. Geneology sites can sometimes work for this. Browse until you find a name or combination of names that would fit.
If there is already a town name or historical figure involved with your project then you can use that. Just add "High" or "Elementary" or "University" to the name.
how about "vampire academy"?
Gallagher Academy or Black Thorne Institute.
Jemberliyn Academy, a school only for those who are rich, athletic, and a super genius. Serves a five course meal and has over 150 clubs!
The some fake school names are given below
1) Seaside Middle School
2) Northride Secondary School
3) Marie Curie High School
4) Paramount College
Hawkins Middle School is a good one
It's your story, so you have to come up with a name.
